Daytona 500 Parking Lot Brawl Ends in Bloody Noses

Though NASCAR superfans may have traveled far and wide to attend this year’s Daytona 500 on Monday, a few lucky fans got an unexpected twofer with their ticket, landing a front row seat to a brutal, parking-lot smackdown at the annual race.

While it remains unclear what prompted these two racing fans to get into it outside of the Daytona International Speedway on Florida’s Atlantic coast, whatever it was pissed off a trucker-hat sporting patron so much that he shoved a camo-clad attendee with all his strength.

Naturally, as Florida MenTM do, the fan threw a punch straight back at the instigator, a move that sparked an all-out brawl complete with flying fists, palms and even a hat.

Though the shover — much like William Byron — managed to nab the W, ultimately beating his camouflaged opponent all the way down to the parking lot’s asphalt, one thing is certain: legendary NASCAR commentator Ken Squier would have had a field day with it.
